The day we almost shut down
In 2020, RentOnUs started with one car, a used Toyota Corolla that broke down on its second-ever booking. The customer, a family heading to Murree, was stranded for three hours. We refunded them in full, drove out a replacement ourselves, and apologized for a week.
That moment taught us everything we needed to know. Today, every car in our fleet of twelve is serviced before every booking, every driver is briefed on the route in advance, and every customer gets the founder's personal number for emergencies.
What started as one Corolla is now Karachi's most-recommended rental, Fortuners, Land Cruisers, Mercedes E-Class, Audis, and yes, that same model Corolla, still in our fleet because we believe in maintenance.
